Dieser Artikel gibt einen kompakten Überblick über die kardiovaskuläre Bildgebung
in der Radiologie, die seit einigen Jahren immer mehr an Bedeutung gewinnt. Gerade
die CT strebt mit steigenden Untersuchungszahlen und ihren unschlagbaren Vorteilen
wie kurzen Untersuchungszeiten, hoher Verfügbarkeit und geringer Komplikationsrate
zu einer neuen Domäne der nicht invasiven Koronararteriendarstellung.
In the last few years cardiovascular imaging has become more and more important in
radiology. Today rapid technical developments enable us to produce high-quality diagnostic
images of an organ with maximum movement and small vessel diameters. A large number
of indications have been included in various international recommendations. Hence,
the cardio-CT as a noninvasive method is gradually replacing the invasive heart catheter.
The development of multislice and dual-source CT allows to record the entire myocardium
in almost one cardiac cycle so that movement artifacts can be reduced to a minimum.
